Organizer: International Energy Agency (IEA)

Summary: The week-long training event is dedicated to sharing experiences on planning, implementing and evaluating energy efficiency policy in emerging economies. The event is central to the IEA's ongoing engagement with emerging economies and will bring together up to 100 'next generation' energy efficiency professionals, primarily from government institutions and supporting organizations. The aim of the training event is to equip junior energy efficiency policy makers with the skills to be more effective in their roles and as a result of the training, we expect participants to be able to bring fresh knowledge and skills to their work. They will also become part of the international energy efficiency community with a large support network to call upon as they progress through their careers. ‌ The energy efficiency training week programme consists of parallel courses on energy efficiency in 1) buildings; 2) lighting, appliances, and equipment; 3) industry and 4) transport. Each course offers a mix of lectures, interactive discussions, practical exercises and a site visit. Deadline for applying is the 31 March 2017.
