Summary
The 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, known as COP24 or the UN Climate Conference, took place in Katowice, Poland from 3-18 December 2018. The conference concluded with many hopeful for accelerated action on climate.
As buildings account for about one-third of global carbon emissions from energy, the Global Alliance for Buildings and Constrution (GlobalABC) is actively working to raise the profile of buildings so we can lock in green growth and keep on a 1.5 degree pathway.
The GlobalABC and its memebers and partners co-organized four events listed below. Each event brings together high-level international stakeholders to have dialogues, raise awareness, and commit to concrete actions that can push the buildings sector further to be an engine for solving climate change.
