Summary

Summary: This high-level event focused on the importance of the building and construction sector in realizing the goals of the Paris Agreement, as well as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular Goal 11 (Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable), 3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages), 7 (Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all), 12 (Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns) and 13 (Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts). The successful event gathered 100 participants representing countries, private partners, local authorities, international and non-governmental organizations, thus reflecting the diversity of GABC members. Moreover, it provided the opportunity to pursue the GABC membership process, in particular with the signature of the GABC Common Statement by Argentina.
