Through energy, transportation and land use planning, cities can become engines of innovation that can help lower emissions, reduce pollution and create more sustainable places to live in. This session will showcase the best existing climate action initiatives taking place at the urban nexus of transport and energy – and feature a ‘call to action’ for leaders to embrace 100% transport-related-emission-free cities.
The panel is hosted by Sustainable Energy for All, the Global Covenant of Mayors and the Partnership on Sustainable Low Carbon Transport and will be followed by a roundtable discussion that will explore how to operationalize this agenda with a representative group of stakeholders.
